thanks.  i'm out of the business of compiling kernels from
patches now since i use win4lin and it's too hard making a
good kernel with the win4lin + any other patches.  it's too
bad too, i've been trying to get win4lin+openmosix to work
for so long.

i tried XFS too, but it looks like it uses its own quota
file (not aquota.users) and quota utilities.  so i'm
not going to use that for a partition that needs quotas
since i don't have enough bandwidth in my head now to
handle two different quota systems.

unless someone will tell me that the regular quota programs
work on both ext3 and XFS? :).
