anybody here using a free antivirus software for Samba 2.2.x's VScan VFS module?
there are a lot of commercial ones but cant seem to find a freeware (commercial) except for OpenAntivirus which is unfortunately still in its alpha state.
my alternative would be to use non-sambaVFS
freeware (commercial) antivirus such as
"BitDefender" and link it to samba by writing
a VFS code (see the tutorial located at: http://www.geocities.com/orville_torpid/papers/vfs_tutorial.html )
if successful(?, may be in 20 years time hehehe),
the next problem would be the 1 year expiration
of BitDefender antivirus (i wonder, how BitDefender
keeps track of its expiration date without
using a registry ...)
oh well, i think the PR form is much handy.
