hey i like mysql - but may i point out its shortcomings

1) R/W concurrency is *STILL* piss poor even with MAXDB or BDB
2) i don't trust it with my employer's revenue stuff; it has screwed us in
the past

3) no subSELECT
4) join functionality is not complete

the point is --- mysql is great. i use it a lot. but it's not the be-all,
end-all. and it's certainly not a "real database."

but the original topic was... POSTGRES! :)
which i still think, it addresses many of the issues with MySQL. so
allegedly it's better. but i like MySQL better having used them both. but
i wouldn't trust my money to postgresql either..
