[plug] Epson Stylus Color 300

cant seem to make my epson stylus color 300 work right under linux. i 
used the ppd driver from linuxprinting.org. i was able to print cups 
test page but with very very poor quality, when i tried to adjust the 
resolution, my printer got weird and started making weird sounds when i 
tried to print again. then after a while it would print weird 
characters, not actually weird characters, normals letters printed in a 
weird way. neways, any help would be much appreciated. thanks:)
