ahh i see. seems like there's a sour note here somewhere. we shouldn't 
fault people for thinking they are techies by brandishing all their techie 
goodies. as Philip Greenspun of photo.net put it so succintly, many a 
DICKLESS YUPPIE feels empowered by having all those techie gadgets.

wow -- some revenge. unfortunately technical knowhow is only a small 
fraction of the success of any gadget. most of it (as Nokia and Sony have 
famously proven again and again) is packaging and marketing.
