The Zaurus has USB hotsync connector to the PC, a CF slot, SD/MMC slot, and irDA. The other PDAs have USB hotsync connector to the PC, an SD slot, and irDA. Your best bet is to use the USB hotsync connector to the PC to telnet to the PC, which it does anyway to hotsync, and to use an irDA scanner programmer to do barcode reading. Then you do not need to buy any peripherals, saving you lots of money. An alternative, if you do not want to be tied to the PC is to get a wireless CF card to connect to your PC, and use an irDA scanner program. I believe that with the Palm Tungsten, you can use bluetooth to connect to your GSM phone that can dialup your PC. Then you can use an irDA scanner program.
