If you really meant "just like RAID 1" then you probably want to check
out drbd[1]. drbd implements a network-based RAID 1 on the block level,
so updates are committed from the master to the slave in real-time.
I've used this in two high-availability server cluster deployments, so
far, together with Heartbeat[2].
