Hi, For simple and easy setup I would suggest... have a network interface for 192.168.111.0 network. Then configure your DHCP server to listen on that interface.
If in case your environment requires that your DHCP server be on another network, then use a DHCP relay. There's a lot of howto's on the internet, however, you can try this one: http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/RHL-8.0-Manual/custom-guide/s1-dhcp-configuring-server.html hope this helps, Chino Aureus --- "Shadow X" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: good afternoon to every body can u help me setting up a dhcp server the dhcp server provide this ip 192.168.111.0 255.255.255.0 the server eth0 165.122.10.254 dhcp client request coming from other network.. do i have to put the dhcp server within the work of 192.168.111.0 or i can put a dhcp outside that network. thanks your help is much appreciated. -- Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [EMAIL PROTECTED] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Official Website: http://plug.linux.org.ph Searchable Archives: http://marc.free.net.ph .
