Hi Aldwin,

You need to add allow-update { [dhcp ip-address] }; in your 
zone entry for foobirds.org in /etc/named.conf. But this is
ip-based updates which may not be recommended for "live" sites.
You can also check out key-based updates of the DNS records.
Refer to named.conf manual pages under section ADDRESS MATCH LIST.
