If you look at the thread of the URL you gave above, It was dated on May 15, 2003. Following the thread on May 16, 2003: http://www.linux.ie/pipermail/ilug/2003-May/003062.html relevant snipped quote: "It appears that I may have mis-spoken. I am forwarding this on to our Head of US Operations who can offer an official SuSE Policy statment. Rick Holzer SuSE, Inc." So you can't copy/distribute the iso image. Or you can? To confuse you more, here is another URL after a few months Dated December 19, 2003: http://www.freelists.org/archives/huskerlug/12-2003/msg00056.html Relevant snipped quote from Rick holzer again: "You can mass produce and give away. The key is that there can be not money profit in the transaction. Another option is our LUG program. I can provide you with back version of the product if you are interested at no charge. I have 8.2 Pros and Personals that I an ship for free." So it seems you can copy the ISO if a local Linux user group contacts Suse and ask permission. My point here is... Suse's position on "can you copy the boxed CD set and distribute?" is murky at best. Before buying 1 box CD and redistribute copied CD's, pls. contact Rick Holzer to be really sure. Or Let Mr. Ian Sison handle it... :) regards, Andre -- Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [EMAIL PROTECTED] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Official Website: http://plug.linux.org.ph Searchable Archives: http://marc.free.net.ph .
