the Ateneo has two (2) beowulf-type clusters: (1) the original AGILA HPCS which is currently a mix ten (10) nodes cluster. it processing nodes are at least AMD Athlon 600MHz w/ 128MB to Dual Intel Pentium III w/ 256MB. this is primarily used for distributed computing education, climate modelling (c/o Manila Observatory) and chemical modelling (c/o Chemistry department).
(2) the Medgrid cluster is a sweet six (8) node Dual Intel Xeon cluster w/ Myrinet high speed inter-connect network. this is primarily used for the ongoing medical grid computing research initiatives of the university. what do you need? - written letter stating intent and purpose of access including details like what type of test and duration - cluster access can only be done on campus (from any computer terminal) good luck!
