Kumusta,

I've away from the Philippines for a while and I'd like to know how is the IT
environment in the Philippines like, especially with regards to the use of
Linux and Open Source.

How common is Linux in the Philippines?
How common on the desktop?
on the server?
In the big corporations?
In government?

How about piracy, I know ten years ago, almost everyone I know has a PC with
pirated Windows and other software on it. Is this still prevalent?

Is the government doing anything that favors Open Source?

Is Microsoft in the Philippines actively fighting Linux's spread?

Salamat.
