I think he means 'support' not literally (as in the kernel will work
with it), but that only RH EL is on the list of HP-supported OS's.

Surely with a branded machine, a RHEL license would be a small
fraction of the hardware and support costs. :)

If the original poster really doesn't want RHEL, then try WhiteBox if
it will suffice.
