Hi, Gentoo newbie here :)

I'm reading through the installation guide:

To clarify - without a broadband connection, is it not possible to
compile from source? The packages are binaries, and there are no
source tarballs on CD, right?

My idea is to download ISO's somewhere else, then install here at home.

For now, I'll get a hold of the Universal CD and try the precompiled option.
