You need to output the http headers. content-type text/html etc... Try
telnetting to port 80 of a webserver and simulate a connection, you
would see the headers.

It's not simply spewing out a html file through a
socket, that's for sure... I tried... just got the
whole file (tags and all) displayed on the browser,
