I installed Athene 4.1 last week, yes it loads fast and is very responsive(maybe because of SNAP) but that's it. Usability is crappy(fugly fonts etc.) and native apps for athene are scarce but that may change in the future. Some X apps did not run as expected, MPlayer but did not have fullscreen support using any -vo and some apps just refused to run. A developer I asked said MPlayer will run faster on Athene than on X after they port it. hmmm let's see.
