Can anyone recommend a filecoimpressor that can also split the resulting compressed file into smaller blocks? I have a huge binary compressedfile that is over 850MB in size, which keep sme from writing it to a standard CD-RW. I hope to be able to "split" it and write it to 2 CDs.

tar has an option -M that allows multi volume files. I tried it before. Or you could use split to split your file into 2.
