Hi, I'm working with someone who will be setting up the network for a school. He is thinking to setup a linux server as the proxy / gateway.I'm not yet sure about the details but the student access might be just a computer lab and I don't think the 50 teacher workstation will be surfing at the same time. Just the same, I would like to get some advance knowledge.
a) Can someone tell me what is the minimum hardware requirement to support 100+ student and 50+ teacher workstations that will access the internet? b) They plan to get dsl access. What is the recommended dsl access to handle the load? Thanks in advance. God bless you.
