That's always the question. Even in the non-stripped version, Windows is laughably pitiful next to a Linux distro. Pretty much any Linux distro ships with a web server, various programming languages, vim, that other editor (ed), postgres and/or mysql, and basically any and all internet servers that exist. Windows has, what? IIS? That's it. What a joke. Even for the desktop, most distros now come with an office suite (or two), and hundreds of other applications. I'm often baffled as to why there's even any controversy left in this area.
