Since you already took the pains of purchasing RHEL AS 3.0 I suggest
you stick with the stock kernel they provide. It's well-tested and
heavily patched to be suited for enterprise-grade work - the stability
that the 2.6 kernels that come with Fedora have yet to earn.

Doing also would nullify your tech support. You don't want that.
