Alternatively, you can download a 37Mb mini iso good for stage 1
debian install and get the other packages .debs from the Internet.

If you want the whole distro CD's, i find www.linuxiso.org is pretty
good. They now support getting a partially-downloaded file (they don't
used to.), so you can continue the download if it was interrupted.

And lastly, the above sites have different debian stable CD versions
like vanilla, generic boot, and 2.4 kernel support boot CD. Both sites
have md5sum so you can check if what you have downloaded is okay or
not.
