I'm on the NVidia driver. Unfortunately, my motherboard requires at least 4X AGP so no TNT2 :( I'm trying out 'xgamma' (builtin) and 'xbrightness' <http://wildspark.com/xbrightness/>. They do reduce the brightness but solid white does not go down in brightness. On the other hand, the Windows gamma correction tool for the VIA Unichrome graphics chip - onboard video - manages to reduce brightness uniformly, as if the LCD's lamps could go down in brightness. -- Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [EMAIL PROTECTED] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Official Website: http://plug.linux.org.ph Searchable Archives: http://marc.free.net.ph .
