Hello, plug folk. And a happy holiday season to you all!

I'm a student assistant at the UP Diliman Engineering Networks and we are transferring the control of the web server which I used to maintain to our college's own web team. It was a Redhat 9 box. Trouble is, the webteam head (also a student) is a Fedora fan and he's planning to use fedora for the server (new machine, same IP). I don't believe Fedora would make a good web server. I myself am a Slackware user, but of course I can't force him to use that since I am already giving them the web server (my job now is VOIP--whoopeee!). I was wondering what alternatives I could suggest to him that is modern, stable, not to mention free (not much funding) but still similar to the way Fedora works.

Thanks in advance.
