I develop on bluetooth. For unix i tried BlueZ stack and WIDCOM stack
for windows. Billionton dongles (UBS) works fine for these stacks.

WIDCOM costs alot but works so well for all phones including series 40
IR that doesnt use OBEX. BlueZ is free ;p

If you want something like tranfering pics, polytones, or
installations try open OBEX. If you want something like remotely
contolling you phone (sending SMS. making.receiving calls and internet
thru your phones GPRS) then try using AT commands on serial
connections ;p
