Yeah. Consider the event of discussing the patenting of abstract computational processes, by a lawmaking body that simply does not have any exposure to the ideas of a computational process and abstraction: it's perverse! I mean, companies with vested interests would simply push in some nonsensical marketing and technical jargon, and look, these party hats are *enlightened*! No wonder people in Europe are so outraged.
