Yup I meant I want to I access a box/server that I FTP to as a local mount.... but not only via konqueor.
can this be configured. :)
Configured from stock Linux kernels, maybe not. That is, AFAIK. However, it's a good idea: Putting FTP client support into the kernel as a module and handling a "filesystem" much like how NFS is done in the kernel, so that the remote FTP site may be transparently used as a local filesystem.
Now to see if I can start working on it... Nope, need more kung fu to get it done. ;)
Maybe some people have already done something similar though, so a look around freshmeat and sourceforge would help. :)
