Why not sign up here -- or at least start the ball rolling? I can take
schools near Kapitolyo. There's a Kapitolyo HS which I think is Rizal High
School Annex. I can be there every day if need be. I can also be at other
schools but might not be able to commit to a daily presence.

Thanks everyone for the replies. However, I think what is crucial is
the availability of regional or even provincial resource person(s) who
are committed to help out schools that are interested in using FOSS. We
can advocate all we like but the thing is, once organizations take us
seriously, we often lack the warm bodies to provide training and
support.

I think PLUG can organize a program as well - to complement this CICT
initiative, if ever. A PLUG Adopt-A-School project will be a very nice
idea. One person can actually handle technical assistance to two or
three high school laboratories. They just need someone who can train
them and also someone they can call, just in case they have problems.
What do you say? Who can sign up for this project so we can match those
schools who are seriously considering FOSS as well? We need commitment
from both our PLUG volunteer and the schools, of course. PLUG
volunteers may or may not be compensated - again, this depends on the
CICT project, which I will help draft as well. :)

PhilOSC can be one of the venues where these schools can sign up.
