source for online orders?

Keith,

You might consider eBay. Some vendors there sell new in box hardware for
very reasonable prices (others want outlandish prices). It's another option.

I had a 320G WD Blue drive fail within warranty and they quickly replaced
it. My first hard drive (purchased in 1987) was a Seagate 225 (25M) and it
lasted years until I replaced the Epson 8086-based system with a 286 system.

As Dan noted, some models within a manufacturers line are better than
other models. More than a decade ago I shopped for a hard drive at ENU and
was advised to not buy the one on sale as it was not as reliable as the next
larger capacity drive. This based on the number of returns they had. Yes,
good local advice is invaluable.

Good luck shopping,

Rich
