Sounds like you're a bit more in the know on this I am. From what I've
read, http is used to connect to a mjpg stream and rtsp is used to
connect to an H.264 stream. As port 8000 is also used as an alternate
http port, did you try something like http://ipaddr:port/video.mjpg or
/mjpeg.
Also, did you try to telnet into port 8000 on the ip addr of the camera?
If you can open a connection into you might have some access to basic
commands, help, file path, etc.
