Looking at the dpkg man page and it's referral to dselect may give me an
end run around a bunch of obstacles to a related, but not identical,
goal. Reading, studying, thinking to be done.

When I referred to a minimal install of Stretch I was saying that any
time the installer gave be the option to install something -- I chose NO.
