For what you are doing, think of it as a file system tree that you can test most of your boot environment (short of booting) prior to needing to actually boot it.
That "test" capability does not accomplish anything that has not been already by having made multiple installs using the standard Debian installer.
Perhaps a description of my goal is to hardcode options that preseeding would typically accomplish.
And because it is just a command away, it is fast to change and experiment.
