I have a small handful of domains with Stablehost. In this morning's email I got something from cpanel@<domain name> telling me:

Good news, AutoSSL has successfully renewed the Domain Validated (DV) certificate for “dicksteffens.com”. This does not require any further action by you.

The certificate is now active on the website for the following domain names:

  * cpanel.dicksteffens.com <https://cpanel.dicksteffens.com>
  * dicksteffens.com <https://dicksteffens.com>
  * mail.dicksteffens.com <https://mail.dicksteffens.com>
  * webdisk.dicksteffens.com <https://webdisk.dicksteffens.com>
  * webmail.dicksteffens.com <https://webmail.dicksteffens.com>
  * www.dicksteffens.com <https://www.dicksteffens.com>

The certificate has the following properties:

Then it gave me a box with a bunch of stuff ending with the issuer being identified as cPanel, Inc. The box was followed by another box showing the certificate's PEM representation, which was a very long string of characters.

I got a similar email for each of four domains associated with dicksteffens.com.

I've had these domains for at least ten years, but this is the first time I've seen this. I suspect this is okay, but wondered if someone on the list is familiar with it and why it should show up now.
