I believe the option has changed since I last did this. In /etc/rc.d/rc.syslog, 
near the top of the settings, isn option SYSLOGD_OPTIONS=“-c “. By adding the 
syslog switch “-m 0” it should go away (e.g. SYSLOGD_OPTIONS=“-c -m 0“). See 
man syslog.

btw, I do not have a syslog.conf directive called "ModLoad immure” - running 
Slackware 14.2
