I had not thought of this. The lpr man page's last example shows this
option,
Print a presentation document 2-up to a printer called "foo":
lpr -P foo -o number-up=2 filename
However, lpr wants long paper and using -o landscape did not work. So, ...
I downloaded and installed the SBo pdfjam package. The command line:
pdfjam-slides6up --landscape --twoside nebc-2018-visuals+notes.pdf
produced as output:
nebc-2018-visuals+notes-6up.pdf
which looks great! Three slides in the left column and their note in the
right column in landscape mode.
This is a great addition to pdftk. Thanks very much for making me aware of
it.
