On Slackware I have:

rsteff@ENU-2:~/.ssh$ cat config
#rsteff's ssh config file
#
ForwardX11Trusted yes
rsteff@ENU-2:~/.ssh$

On Ubuntu I have (in /etc/ssh/sshd_config);
X11Forwarding yes

Typing on the Ubuntu machine I can run ssh -X and log in to the Slackware machine. I can run Thunar. I can navigate to a directory I want to copy a file from, and I can see the file. When I try to drag that file to the Ubuntu desktop I get this error message:

--------------------------
Error while copying.

There was an error getting information about "Eliot Fisk - American Virtuoso.mp3".

Show more details: No such file or directory
There was an error getting information about "/home/rsteff/Music/Eliot Fisk - American Virtuoso.mp3": No such file or directory
--------------------------

If I right click on the file in Thunar, move the mouse to the a directory on the Ubuntu machine and right click, I don't have paste as an option.

There must be something else missing somewhere. More ideas appreciated.
