Looks like I might not be able to run Google Earth on this machine. Not a huge loss.

However, your previous post pointed to the problem I'm having on one of my other machines where Nouveau is running. Looks like I'll need to wait for the latest driver for that one. I do have an nVidia GF119 [GeForce GT 610] in it. My laptop, a Thinkpad x200, has (according to lshw):

description:     VGA compatible controller
product:     Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller
vendor:     Intel Corporation

My recollection is that there's a different problem there, but I'll have to look at that later.

When the laptop was running Ubuntu MATE 16.04 Google Earth worked.
