It did with the test file, but with the 1084-line data file it didn't.
Found the cause: some strings have commas within the quotes so gawk sees
that single string as two fields. By changing the field separator to a pipe
(|) that problem is eliminated and the script works.
I should have seen the extra commas in all instances and not only before
'Inc'.
