I have created a 28 min video, mp4 format 1080p resolution, using kdenlive on a 64 bit openSuse Leap 15.0 linux system. The full video has always played perfectly from the hard drive, using the VLC video viewer program.

However, I burned the video to a CD-R blank disc, both Memorex and Verbatim blank discs, and when playing back from the optical reader, the video skips during the very 1st time the video is loaded, but does not skip the 2nd time and subsequent times after that, if the sequence is replayed.

This has happened with 3 different DVD players, so it seems to point at the CD itself, not the dvd players. Additionally, I switched the media from Memorex to Verbatim, but the problem still occurred.

I also changed the CD writer drive, from the 24x LG dvd on the sata interface to a newer ASUS 48x dvd writer, but the CD authored from the ASUS drive actually behaved a little bit worse on the 1st time playback, much to my chagrin, although 2nd replay or more executed perfectly.

Any ideas as to what might really be happening here? What I see seems to point to the material on the CD, but it is strange that this video plays perfectly from the HD but not the CD, despite being identical. ( I am assuming this)
