I use bacula on hundreds of linux systems and it works like a charm but it is more of a backup server solution instead of a single computer backup solution. It can be used for bare metal restores with some configuration. Normally bacula is ran on a server along with a mysql or postgresql database and each compuer to be backed up has a client installed. The backups are kicked off by the server not via cron I do use bacula here at home but I wouldn't say I really need it for my simple home network. -- David _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
