Sometimes I use Synaptic to install or upgrade programs. Usually I start
it from Xubuntu's Applications/Systems menu. Lately when I click on
Synaptic there, nothing happens. If I start Synaptic from the command
line with sudo synaptic it runs as expected. What do I need to do to
figure out what broke and how to fix it?
