No need, as I'll borrow one from Wes on Sunday. In any event, the
Free Geek store is open on Sundays now, so I can get it myself if
needed. But thanks for the thought!

As Tomas said, there's really no need to open up the laptop. Just boot a live distribution from a flash drive and do the partitioning and copying from it. Knoppix would be my choice too, but an Ubuntu install image would probably work.
