I'm not sure I totally understand nor agree with what yo're saying here but
that's for another day.

Short of a part number and a detailed datasheet, testing is almost
certainly the most expedient approach.

- Not all of us have a test bed at our disposal and might actually enjoy
doing the research, learning and understanding new information.
