I have three computers running Mint I got from Free Geek. I have the same problem on all three. The spell checker seems to be using British English. This is in all applications, browser, email, LibreOffice, anything that uses the spell checker. It wants to change color to colour, behavior to behaviour, traveling to travelling, etc. Every place I can find language or locale settings all say lang_en-us. There must be some place to set the language for the spell check engine, but I cannot find it.
