Not all installed fonts are available in firefox Edit -> Preferences ->

I've isolated the problem and have yet to find a solution.

This is the problem:

[root@salmo /usr/share/fonts/TTF]# fc-match san-serif
DejaVuSans.ttf: "DejaVu Sans" "Book"
[root@salmo /usr/share/fonts/TTF]# fc-match serif DejaVuSerif.ttf:
"DejaVu Serif" "Book"
[root@salmo /usr/share/fonts/TTF]# fc-match monotype
DejaVuSans.ttf: "DejaVu Sans" "Book"

The DejaVu fonts (always in the Slackware distributions) are also in
/etc/fonts/conf.avail/ and /etc/fonts/conf.d. But, ...

[rshepard@salmo ~]$ fc-list | grep DejaVu
[rshepard@salmo ~]$

They're not available to me and that's why they don't appear in FF's font
selection widget.

No response since I posted this yesterday on LQ. Anyone here have some
thoughts on why fc-list does not find the installed DejaVu fonts?

Rich
