Hello, I have been testing out various self-hosted video conferencing software and have mainly been using Nextcloud Talk. I've gone ahead and setup a turn server like the documentation said. It seems like there is still one more component for reliable calling which is the 'dedicated signaling server', However I have been able to hold calls already.
I have gone ahead and setup a meeting for other PLUG members to test nextcloud talk out for themselves if anyone wants to report back on their experiences or give some suggestions. https://cloud.nuegia.net/call/tw6sveds If anyone else has some ideas for reliable, secure, open source and self-hostable videocalls please do reply back.
