It is useful, as we move from live meetings to online meetings, to evaluate
which parts of the process can be managed synchronously and which can be
asynchronous. When we are discussing, asking questions and building
personal relationships, those aspects tend to lean toward synchronous. When
we are conveying facts, walking through details, and doing things that
require thought before responding, those things tend towards asynchronous.

A Meeting and a Webinar on zoom are very different. The audience has
different access and different experiences. Even though both are
essentially synchronous.

So the structure of the event and the structure of the tool impacts the
experience. It also can impact the effectiveness of the event.
