I'm not sure what the difficulty is. If you simply search for "raspberry pi
zero battery" you'll find examples of people doing this. Unless you're also
thinking of other hardware that you also want to add to it?

At least so far, it sounds like a super-basic thing that has already been
done plenty of times.
