I think that's what this does:

Xfce Power Manager
System Tab
    System power saving
        System sleep mode: [Suspend]
        When inactive for [never]

This is where trying to ssh into it when it's hung-up might be useful in
gathering more info. You might be able to use top, ps or even tail logs.

And, as I mentioned in a previous reply, ssh into it doesn't work at these times. It works fine other wise.
