Thanks, that was a good start. I decided that I really want M2 Nvme
drives, so I started by looking at drives on Newegg, where they have a
pretty good selection. I can get 4TB drives from several manufacturers,
and one offers even an 8TB drive.

Then I started searching for enclosures. The best price point for
drives is at the 2TB size, but that means an enclosure that can handle
10 M2 Nvme drives. I found a couple, but they were only USB 3.0, and
there's no point in having super-fast drives if the connection is only
5Gbs. I mean really, what were these manufacturers thinking? Searching
on 'Thunderbolt 3' I came up with a couple of 4-bay enclosures, but
nothing with more bays. They may exist and I just haven't found them
yet. If I settle for 16TB I can get 4TB drives for a little over $700,
but that brings the total price to $3K. I can get 2TB drives for a
little over $200, so that saves nearly a third of the cost.

I'll keep poking around. :)
