First, Ubuntu recently came out with updated versions of some of their nVidia drivers. They were in the update manager for 18.04 and, with great trepidation, I installed them when they first appeared. Thankfully, they worked. Second, you might try switching to root instead of using sudo. I don't fully understand why, but apparently there are some differences. To become root you do 'sudo su.' One thing that I learned a long time ago is that 'su' means 'switch user,' not 'super user.' _______________________________________________ PLUG: https://pdxlinux.org PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
